Stir well, let the mixture sit for 15-20 minutes, give it one final stir, and serve. You can also create a make-ahead cold breakfast with 2 cups of water and several hours of hydration time. Ours has cinnamon, cardamom, clove, and nutmeg for seasoning, along with raisins, almonds, bananas, and honey for toppings. All this mixed with rBST hormone free whole milk powder and NON-GMO long grain white rice to make a tasty and filling meal. Enjoy Backpacker’s Pantry Indian Rice Pudding when camping, hunting backpacking sailing or mountaineering any time of day. This meal is Gluten free, independently tested to be less than 20ppm for Gluten. Simply add one and one half cups of boiling water to the pouch, stir, and let sit for fifteen minutes, longer if you are two miles above sea level. The warm spices & orange zest make this meal total comfort food. Makes a great breakfast while travelling, as well as a fantastic dessert. Seven year shelf life, all-natural and soy free. Serves at least two people. There is always room for dessert!

Preparation & Storage
Remove and discard enclosed oxygen absorber before beginning food preparation. Add 1-1/2 cups (360 mL) of boiling water. Stir well. Seal and let sit for 15-20 minutes. Stir and serve. For a make-ahead cold dessert use 2 cups (480 mL) of water and let hydrate for several hours. Rehydration time doubles every 5,000 feet of elevation gain. Our directions are set for 5,000 feet.
