VOLUNTARY RECALL OF BACKPACKER’S PANTRY

ORGANIC PEANUT BUTTER & RAISIN OATMEAL

ITEMS: 101068, 1010689, 101068F

Due to the ongoing Sunland, Inc. nationwide voluntary peanut recall, Justin’s announced expansion of its voluntary recall to include the Organic Classic Peanut Butter Squeeze Packs 1.15 oz., which are included in Backpacker’s Pantry Organic Peanut Butter & Raisin Oatmeal. Backpacker’s Pantry is, therefore, doing a voluntary recall of all lots of Organic Peanut Butter & Raisin Oatmeal produced from June 2010 through October 2012.

Sunland, Inc products are being voluntarily recalled because the peanuts used in their production process may have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

Please note: there have been no confirmed traces of Salmonella found in Backpacker’s Pantry products or in Justin’s peanut butter products. Additionally, if the cooking instructions on the back of the Backpacker’s Pantry Organic Peanut Butter & Raisin Oatmeal are followed properly and boiling water is used to prepare the dish, it is completely safe to consume.   Backpacker’s Pantry is voluntarily recalling this product because food safety is of our utmost concern, and we want to ensure the safety of our customers and our food supply.

There are no other Backpacker's Pantry products impacted by this voluntary recall.
