Preparation & Storage
    Directions: Remove and discard enclosed oxygen absorber before beginning food preparation. Add 2-1/4 cups (540 mL) of boiling water. Stir well. Seal and let sit for 15-20 minutes. Stir and serve. Rehydration time doubles every 5,000 feet of elevation gain. Our directions are set for 5,000 feet.

      I had bought a few meals last year and never used them prior to a hike up Guadalupe Peak NP last weekend. At the last minute before leaving home I threw the Lasagna meal in the pack and I was pleasantly surprised how good it was.

      I think most people just assume dehydrated food is going to be bland and acceptable, but this was actually good. I just ordered 5 more on REI. Funny, I didn't even realize it was made with soy instead of beef until a few minutes ago. Very acceptable substitute for anyone who is a vegetarian. (Posted on 4/21/2016)

      Super easy to make in the bag, then divvy up. Tasty after a long day of hiking, and VEGETARIAN for the other half of the camp group that has made that choice. Great for a hot vegetarian meal. (Posted on 5/15/2015)

      Simple to make this meal provides two servings at the end of a long day. I was solo when eating this and kept the second half for lunch the next day.
